SSC CHSL 2017 Notification Released @www.ssc.nic.in: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has uploaded CHSL (10+2) level recruitment exam for Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Entry Operator(DEO), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) post. The SSC CHSL Online form starts on 18 November 2017 and last date of registration is 18 December 2018. The Tier-I exam of CHSL (10+2) recruitment shall be held COMPUTER BASED TEST from 4 March 2018 to 26 March 2018.
The total number of vacancies in CHSL 2017 is (LDC/ JSA: 898 post, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant: 2359 posts, DEO: 2 post and Data Entry Operator: NIL (no post). SSC 10+2 Vigapti 2017 is available now. Download notification in Hindi and other languages.
The govt reservation rule is applicable to SC/ ST/ OBC /ExS/ PwD candidate. The candidate age between 18-27 years as on 01.08.2018 are eligible for SSC CHSL 2017. (Candidates born not before 02-08-1991 and not later than 01-08-2000). The candidate (male/ female) at age 18 to 27 years are eligible meeting other criteria fulfilled. The selection in Staff Selection Commission CHSL (10+2) is based on the Tier-I/ Tier-II/ Skill Test/ Typing Test and the merit list. The candidate found eligible by the SSC Board for the PA/ SA/ Clerk LDC, Data Entry Operator post has to appear for the Paper-I (Tier-I) and also known as Preliminary Paper. This paper is held online (computer-based test) and is mandatory for all the candidates willing to get Govt Jobs through CHSL 2017 exam. The qualified candidates are then called for the Paper-II (Descriptive) or Tier-II level examination. The candidates are then called for checking Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Division Clerk and Court Clerk.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL
Check whether you are eligible or no for the SSC 10+2 level examination? Here we are providing AGE LIMIT, EDUCATION QUALIFICATION required for SSC 10+2 level examination.
Age Limit Required
The male or female candidate with age between 18 years to 27 years as on 1 Jan 2018 are eligible for the 10+2 CHSL level jobs. So the candidate born not before 02-01-1991 and not later than 01-01-2000).
This criterion of nationality is also required for SSC CHSL 2017 form. A Candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (12th Class Board) examination or equivalent exam from the recognized school board.
What about if I am appearing in 12th Board this year (2018)?
Answer: According to the notification, the candidate are allowed who have not 12th pass certificate but can produce certificate from board/ university by latest as on 1 Jan 2018 (are also eligible)
What document requires at the time of Typing Test/ Skill Test?
Answer: The candidate qualify for the Skill Test and Typing Test has to produce original certificates/ documents to the SSC Commission. a) 10 Class Certificate
b) Date of Birth Certificate (If 10th Class board has DOB then you can produce that document)
c) 12th Class Certificate/ Marksheet
d) Provisional Certificate etc.
Syllabus & Scheme of SSC 10+2
After filling the online application of Staff Selection Commission CHSL 2017, the candidate has to download 10+2 Tier-I, II Syllabus and start preparing. Here is the pattern of Paper-I, download revised new syllabus for Preliminary Exam 10+2 2017-2018.
The scheme of examination contains the list of total question, marks, subjects, and part of examination ie. Part-I/ II/ III/ IV.
SSC CHSL 10+2 Tier-1 Exam Pattern
The Paper-I is called TIER-I of SSC 10+2 examination. There are four parts in the examination, the Part-I is 25 questions of General Intelligence, part-II is English Language (Basic Knowledge) 25 questions, part-II Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), part-IV General Awareness (25 questions).
Negative Marks: Yes, there is negative marking. So you should not attempt the questions. For wrong answers .50 marks is deducted.
Nature of Paper: Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only, Computer Based Test.
The language of Question Paper: The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-I, III & IV.

Tier-II Exam Pattern/ Syllabus
The Paper-II of SSC CHSL 2017 is Descriptive Paper. This is also called Tier-II paper. Total marks are 100 and this is paper and pen mode. The duration of the paper would be for 1 hours but for the PH candidate (20 minutes compensatory time). The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter / Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
Question: Qualification Marks Required for Tier-II Cut-Off?
Answer: The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent. The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
The language of Tier-II Paper: The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. The part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.
The Paper-III (TIER-III) of SSC CHSL is comprised of Skill Test or Typing Test or both. This test is only to qualifying nature, so marks are not added to the merit list.
Data Entry Operator: The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of qualifying nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, will have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer.
HOW TO APPLY
The candidate willing and are eligible for the 10+2 has to fillup the online form available at www.ssconline.nic.in. The Part-I/ Part-II of form has to be filled by the candidate. The mode of application form is online only. So candidate has to visit the official website. The application form fee is Rs 100/-. The candidate belongs to SC/ ST, PH, Ex-Servicemen, and Women are exempted from form fee. The mode of fee payment is online using Credit/ Debit Card, Netbanking, Wallet etc.
